Creative Commons Licenses (adapted from MIT OCW)
GHIP incorporates a variety of Creative Commons licenses on its site based on the wishes of the author. Please read these licenses carefully to understand what freedoms you have with regard to the work you are using. If an author has reserved his or her copyright to a particular material, please respect those protected rights. Typically the license will be stated on the main project page, or will be presented to the user next to or within the work in question.
Unless otherwise noted, the content on the GHIP website is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 License, which allows users to copy, distribute, display, perform and create derivatives of the content on this site under the condition that the user provides attribution to GHIP for GHIP created work.
Suspected Copyright Violation (adapted from MIT OCW)
GHIP, prior to making any materials publicly available, has reviewed all material extensively to determine the correct copyrights of the material and obtain the appropriate licenses to make the material available on GHIP.net. The U.S. Congress passed The Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) of 1998 to protect the rights of copyright holders in this digital age. GHIP values copyright law and protects its own as well as the rights of others. GHIP will promptly remove any material that is determined to be infringing on the rights of others.
To file a DMCA notification, you must be either the copyright holder of the work or an individual authorized to act on behalf of the copyright holder. If you believe your copyright protection has been infringed on the GHIP web site, please contact us at info@ghip.net.
To best address your concerns, please include the following information in your notification:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright holder (NOTE: If an agent is providing the notification, also include a statement that the agent is authorized to act on behalf of the holder.)
- Contact information for the holder or agent.
- Identification of the copyrighted work(s) in question.
- Web address (URL) of the site containing the alleged copyright infringement.
- A statement that the copyright holder or authorized agent has a good faith belief that use of the copyrighted material is not authorized by the copyright holder, agent, or the law.
- A statement made under penalty of perjury that the information in the notification is accurate.
